Piercing The process for generating openings in a tube or pipe has been referred to as punching, slotting, piercing. There are options for low volume applications where one will punch a single hole per press cycle to high volume applications with CNC controlled machines that will pierce a variety of hole sizes and locations around the circumference and length of a tube.
