Our cutoff dies/machines use a newly upgraded enclosed cam.
The enclosed cam activates the horizontal blade, first cutting away
approximately 66% of the wall thickness. The cam completes it’s
operation when the vertical blade cuts though the thinned wall
resulting in a dimple free cutoff tube. This method also leaves little
burr.
Die blocks are mounted with cross locking keys for precise location
avoiding premature blade-wear from misalignment between Cutoff-blade and die
inserts, resulting in longer, uninterrupted runs.
O.D. distortion is further eliminated by the tight encompassing of the
tube that the die blocks provide throughout the cutting process.
The benefits of our newly deigned enclosed cam will contribute to a
safer and cleaner operation. Keeping the bearing free from the typical
shop environment and possibly aiding longer trouble free runs.
This is our 6" DIA automated
tube cut-off machine.
Below you can see that the cutoff action produced no dimple
or OD distortion. After being cut off it will stop on the gauge
and activate another cut-off part.
This machine will produce 800-1200 part an hour.
